Flatiron Health: Ambient AI
I drove the end-to-end design for an AI-powered scribe technology aimed at reducing clinician burnout. My work involved generative and evaluative research, leading to a crucial product pivot that saved significant time and resources. I designed a user-centric experience that seamlessly integrated with a legacy system, building trust in the AI by providing users with control. The result was a successful launch with a high adoption rate and documented improvements in key metrics, including reduced after-hours charting and higher provider satisfaction.
Flatiron Health: Social Determinants of Health
I led the design for a new workflow to address social determinants of health (SDOH), a critical factor in patient outcomes. Through targeted research, I challenged initial assumptions and found the core problem wasn't a lack of tools for social workers, but a lack of visibility and structured data for the entire care team. This insight enabled a strategic pivot to a simpler, more effective design that integrated seamlessly into existing provider workflows. The solution resulted in a 100% CSAT score and a 52% increase in patient SDOH screenings, demonstrating significant user value and a strong commitment to health equity.
Dealerware
Daily Manifest
I led the redesign of the "Daily Manifest," a critical tool for dealership service advisors. Through on-site contextual inquiry and two rounds of user testing, I focused on improving the speed and ease of the vehicle reservation workflow. The final design balanced information density with scannability, directly addressing the pressure points of peak hours and CSAT scores. My work resulted in a more efficient mobile app experience that empowered service advisors to better manage customer interactions and vehicle fleets.
Design Lead
In my time at Dealerware, I was responsible for the entire mobile experience, as well as leading design for web. I also led work on our design system. I helped our head of design establish team processes such as critiques and design QA to improve design quality and improve design-development efficiency.
Babylon Health
I led the end-to-end design for the consumer apps and clinician web portals, shaping the company's entry into a new market. Given the differences in healthcare in the US and the UK, it was more of a 0-1 project than a redesign or adaptation. My work included a full-scale redesign of the appointment booking flow and post-consult summary, using research-driven insights to advocate for key changes like a more trustworthy color palette and a clearer information hierarchy. I was a core contributor to an updated design system, ensuring accessibility conformance, and I led a responsive design initiative to optimize the clinician portal for narrow screen widths.
