I’m Chris, a product designer in Austin, TX. Although I focus on UX and interaction design, I enjoy conducting research too because I’m a man of the people. My ethos or raison d’être is solving problems and making things that help people. I truly want to help people accomplish their goals, big or small. I do that by designing products that are simple, flexible, and intuitive, thereby allowing users to have great experiences.

I’m currently working at Flatiron Health, helping to improve cancer care. Prior companies include Dealerware, Babylon Health, USAA, and IBM. I have experience designing for web, native iOS and Android, and cross-platform React Native. I’ve also contributed to and helped manage design systems.

Back in the day, I received my Masters in HCI from the University of Michigan School of Information. I was an Executive Officer of the ACM CHI student org, and I helped make World IA Day Ann Arbor happen. Before that, I studied Economics at the University of Florida (Go Gators!! 🐊).

When not doing designer-y things, I like to spend most of my time playing or hiking with my dog, Fenway. My favorite websites are Hacker News and Ars Technica. I’m passionate about reducing my climate impact. I enjoy reading sci-fi and mysteries, bowling and occasionally doing improv and standup. My favorite words are erudite and aplomb.
